Today we went to a little French bakery for breakfast. It's less than a mile away, so we just walked there. It's so good and it's authentic! There were a ton of pastries I've never seen before. They were even playing a French radio station. Cool. We had a spinach and cheese quiche. There's even a frozen yogurt place next door! I'm in trouble.
I don't know if you all have been watching The Glee Project, but it is now my guilty pleasure. I cannot help but have a crush on Cameron Mitchell. He's so stinking cute and he's from Dallas! Besides that, he's really talented and a perfect nerd. Also, found out tonight that he's a Christian. I knew there was something special about him. I keep wishing I could send him a desperate message and somehow get to know him. I finally remembered this song and it helped me feel better.
This is for you mister movie man
And everything you seem to understand
And while you are up somewhere in the sky
I'll plan on you if you don't mind.
These are lyrics from a song called "Thinking of You" by Molly Jenson. I've been a fan of hers for years now and she still only has one album out! She's been touring with it for so long that her songs sound much different live than on her CD.
Anyway, I thought of this song tonight, because it really matches up with my small situation. I'm sure you all have a "movie man" crush too and hopefully this will help ease the pain. Molly explains the song before singing it in this video. You have to watch it. She's really funny. : )
This picture is from junior high, after school. I love it! So many memories of waiting for my mom and talking to whoever happened to be waiting too. In this case, I think it was my friend Angela! I thought it was appropriate for the occasion, which is Monday. Monday's should go away and let the weekend stay a little longer. Also, notice the man watch and little boy blazer. What a silly contradiction. Actually now that I think about it there are some unpleasant memories at this same location. These include a bird held hostage, an unprofessionally pierced ear, and a dirty phrase on the bench. Junior High... wow. Glad it happened, but very glad it's over. : )
So, I'm not entirely lazy. I'm a full time nanny and it is hard work. It's also pretty fun! I take care of a 2 year old boy, who calls me "Mommy Bonnie." Also, a 6 month old who is so beautiful and so happy! She is so sweet and such an easy baby. I thought I'd post a few pictures, since they're way more charming than myself.
